Bismarck public library promotes Library Card Sign-Up Month in September

The Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library is marking September as Library Card Sign-Up Month, encouraging residents to sign up for a library card. The initiative, which runs throughout the month, aims to highlight the range of resources and services available with a library card.

According to the library, this year’s theme is “One Card, Endless Possibilities.” The campaign underscores that libraries are accessible to all community members regardless of age or background.

“With a library card, you can do so much more than check out books. From free classes and tech resources to homework help, streaming media, and cultural events, the library connects our community to information, inspiration, and each other,” states the announcement.

The campaign emphasizes how having a library card allows patrons access not only to books but also digital resources such as streaming media and online learning opportunities. Community members can visit the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library in person or learn more about signing up by visiting their website at https://bit.ly/BVMPL-LibraryCards.

“Whether you’re diving into a new hobby, searching for your next great read, brushing up on tech skills, or helping your child succeed in school, it all starts with a library card!” reads another portion of the statement.

For additional details or media inquiries regarding Library Card Sign-Up Month activities and services offered by the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library, Assistant Library Director Elizabeth Jacobs can be contacted at 515 North Fifth Street in Bismarck. More information is also available through their official site (https://bismarcklibrary.org/2221/For-the-Media) and Facebook page (https://facebook.com/bismarcklibrary/).
