University of North Dakota receives HHS grant for nursing and psychology programs

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced the allocation of $598,408 to the University of North Dakota (UND) through the Indian Health Service. The funding is earmarked for two specific programs at UND.

A total of $396,925 will be directed to the Recruitment & Retention of American Indians into Nursing (RAIN) program. This initiative offers support services to American Indian students enrolled in pre-nursing, undergraduate, and graduate nursing programs.

Additionally, $201,483 will be allocated to the Indians into Psychology Doctoral Education (INPSYDE) program. This program provides mental health services and professionals for Native American populations across the Midwest.
