HHS awards over $2.7 million to North Dakota health initiatives

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced the allocation of $2,738,566 to various programs and initiatives in North Dakota.

A sum of $2,034,632 has been awarded to the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services. This funding is intended to support the program "Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity for Prevention and Control of Emerging Infectious Diseases (ELC)."

North Dakota State University will receive $613,934 through the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. This grant aims to support research on lung diseases.

Additionally, $90,000 has been allocated to the First Nations Women’s Alliance for rape prevention and education among tribal sexual assault coalitions.
