Senator John Hoeven addressed the rise of anti-Semitism on college campuses and in the U.S., stating, "I never thought I would see anti-Semitism like this in America and it is absolutely unacceptable." Hoeven, along with Senator Tim Scott, urged the passing of a resolution condemning such acts and ensuring the protection of Jewish students. Hoeven emphasized the importance of colleges as spaces for free thinking and learning, denouncing any form of anti-Semitism within these institutions. The senator, along with 25 colleagues, also called on Attorney General Merrick Garland and Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona to safeguard Jewish students targeted by anti-Semitic groups and to restore order in affected campuses.
