BISMARCK – The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced the award of $4,093,055 to three airports in North Dakota for various projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing airport infrastructure and safety.
Sen. Cramer expressed his approval of the funding, stating, "This critical funding will help North Dakota airports make necessary infrastructure upgrades to ensure the safety and efficiency of air travel in the state."
The funds will be allocated as follows: $2,918,323 to the Grand Forks Regional Airport Authority for runway reconstruction, $1,014,732 to the Dickinson Municipal Airport Authority for terminal building reconstruction, and $160,000 to the Cavalier Municipal Airport Authority for runway pavement rehabilitation.
These financial resources are part of the FAA’s Airport Infrastructure Grant (AIG) Program, established under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to support airports in their modernization and safety endeavors.
