The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has announced the allocation of over $3.2 million in Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) funding to airports in North Dakota. This funding will support various improvement and modernization projects at multiple airports across the state.

Jamestown Regional Airport is set to receive a significant portion of the funding, with $2,600,000 earmarked for the improvement, modification, and rehabilitation of a service road and taxiway, as well as the purchase of snow removal equipment. Garrison Municipal Airport will benefit from $150,000 allocated for the reconstruction of a terminal building.

Beach Airport has been granted $150,000 for the installation of a runway vertical and visual guidance system, along with the reconstruction of runway lighting and taxiway lighting. Hettinger/JB Lindquist Regional Airport will use its $144,000 funding to seal apron pavement surface, runway pavement surface, taxi lane, and taxiway pavement surface.

Additionally, Glen Ullin Regional Airport will acquire D57 snow removal equipment with the $113,003 funding, while Ashley Municipal Airport will utilize $67,500 for the rehabilitation of runway signage and markings.

The investment is part of the FAA Airport Infrastructure Grant (AIG) Program established under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The AIG program aims to provide airports with funding for modernization and safety projects, ensuring the continued improvement of airport infrastructure across North Dakota.
