U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Awards Over $1.6 Million to North Dakota

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has allocated a significant amount of funding to support various projects and initiatives in North Dakota. According to the announcement made by the HHS, a total of $1,604,067 has been awarded for specific programs in the state.

Among the allocations, the Three Affiliated Tribes will receive $1,343,846 to support Head Start programs aimed at promoting early childhood learning, health, and development initiatives.

Additionally, the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services will benefit from $157,479 in funding under the State Primary Care Offices Program. This financial assistance is designed to enhance healthcare service delivery in the state and provide technical support.

Furthermore, Minot State University is set to receive $102,742 under the Universal Newborn Hearing Screening and Intervention Program. This grant will play a crucial role in identifying hearing disabilities among newborns, facilitating early intervention, and ensuring appropriate support is provided.

The funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services underscores the commitment to improving healthcare services and promoting early childhood development in North Dakota.
