WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Transportation has granted over $300,000 to the North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS) for its aviation workforce development program.

The U.S. Department of Transportation announced a FY24 Aviation Workforce Development (AWD) Maintenance grant of $307,608 to the North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS). According to the Department, "This award will go towards NDSCS’ North Dakota Fly High Career Pathway Program, which offers students education and networking opportunities with the corporate culture of a specific airline before seeking employment with the airline."

The grant will support NDSCS in providing valuable education and networking opportunities to students interested in pursuing careers in the aviation industry. The North Dakota Fly High Career Pathway Program aims to prepare students for successful careers by immersing them in the corporate culture of airlines, ultimately facilitating their transition into the workforce.

This funding will undoubtedly enhance the educational experience of students at NDSCS and equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the aviation sector.
