WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, Ranking Member of the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Committee, expressed his views on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Agriculture Appropriations Bill. The bill's text was made public today following an agreement between House and Senate leaders, and it is set to be deliberated by Congress this week.
“The FY24 Agriculture Appropriations Bill supports our farmers and ranchers while finding savings to help with the debt and deficit,” said Hoeven.
Hoeven, in his capacity as the lead Republican on the Senate Ag Appropriations Committee, elaborated, "We worked to fund priorities for our producers, bolster agriculture research and support rural communities. We need to get back to regular order and we look forward to debate on this legislation in the House and Senate in the coming days."
The bill is expected to address key issues affecting the agricultural sector and rural communities, with a focus on supporting farmers and ranchers while also managing fiscal responsibilities.
