HHS announces three affiliated tribes will receive $1.3 million for head start

BISMARCK – The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently announced that the Three Affiliated Tribes have been awarded a significant grant for their Head Start program. According to Sen. Cramer, the tribes will receive a total of $1,343,845 as part of the Head Start Indian Grants program.

The Head Start program focuses on promoting early childhood learning, health, and development initiatives, along with providing essential family and community support services. This funding will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the children and families within the Three Affiliated Tribes.

Sen. Cramer expressed his appreciation for the grant, stating, "This funding will go a long way in supporting the educational and developmental needs of our tribal communities."
