1.4% of Wells County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Wells County recorded an unemployment rate of 1.4% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 28 people out of the 4,031 living in Wells County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Wells County has decreased compared to the 3.3% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Wells County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 3.1%.

Of the 2,006 people who had a job during that time, 19 were employed in the Armed Forces and 1,987 belonged to the civilian labor force.
