2021 has 1.6% of McLean County residents unemployed

McLean County recorded an unemployment rate of 1.6% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 75 people out of the 9,788 living in McLean County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in McLean County has increased compared to the 1.5% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in McLean County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 3.1%.

Of the 4,601 people who had a job during that time, 16 were employed in the Armed Forces and 4,585 belonged to the civilian labor force.
