Mandan, N.D. — Buggies-n-Blues car show and music festival will take place in downtown Mandan June 10-11. A section of Main St. will be closed starting Friday, June 9 for set up, the event itself and tear down. Here are the details:

• Beginning at 2 a.m. on Friday, June 9 through 2 a.m. on Sunday, June 11, Main St. from Third Ave NW to just west of Fourth Ave NW will be closed. Fourth Ave NW from Main St. to the alley will also be closed.
• Beginning at 2 a.m. on Sunday, June 11, Main St. will be closed from Third Ave NE to Sixth Ave NW until 5 p.m. Second Ave NE will be closed from Main St. to First St. The other avenues along the Main St. closure will be closed to traffic from Main St. to the alley. Temporary four-way stops will be activated at the First St. intersections of Third Ave NE and Third Ave NW.

West Main Street access will remain open for Runnings and Morton Mandan Public Library. Motorists are encouraged to use First Street as a detour. Truck drivers may wish to take an alternate route.

Here’s the breakdown of events using public spaces:

Friday, June 9

• Event set up along Main St. from Third to Fourth Ave NW and in Dykshoorn & Heritage parks

Saturday, June 10

• Block party on Main Street with live music from 3-11 p.m.
• Classic car parade beginning at 6 p.m. Parade will depart from Mandan High School and head south on Sixth Ave NW to Main Street, then west on Main Street to Collins Ave. The parade ends at Collins Ave with cars entering normal traffic.

Sunday, June 11

• Car show along Main Street begins at 11 a.m.
• Food and retail vendor show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Beer garden & live music in Dykshoorn Park from noon to 4 p.m.
