Mandan, N.D. — Photographers of all ages and experience levels are invited to enter Mandan’s third annual photo contest by capturing special features in the community and surrounding areas in Morton County. The contest is open through Aug. 18, 2023.
“The contest is a great way to capture the things people love about what makes our community great,” says contest chair Rena Mehlhoff, a member of the Mandan Tomorrow – Leadership, Pride and Image (LPI) Committee.
All category winners will receive $100 in Mandan Bucks gift certificates sponsored by businesses as follows:
- Achievement — Beyond the Blooms
- Community — Station West Bar & Grill
- Fun — Vision Source of Mandan
- Opportunity — Napa Auto Parts Store
- County — Hyundai of Mandan
- People’s Choice — Copper Dog Café, plus a $50 gift card from North Dakota Living Magazine
- Top Youth Entry — LPT Images, plus a $50 gift card from North Dakota Living Magazine
Additional perks for photographers include:
- Exhibition of winning photographs for at least a year at Mandan City Hall or other public facility plus provided to each category sponsor for display.
- Consideration for inclusion in other public art displays.
- Publication in print and online for purposes of tourism promotion and community marketing with credit given to the photographer whenever possible.
The past contests drew over 100 entries from many talented photographers.
