Central Dakota Children's Choir (CDCC) issued the following announcement.
We focus on Rachel Bleth in today's Senior Feature. After graduating from St. Mary’s, Rachel plans to attend the University of Mary to study Elementary Education. She was selected 3 times for ND All State Choir and participated in the NDMEA All State Orchestra this year, starred at State Vocal Contest with solo 2 times, starred at State Vocal Contest in multiple ensembles 2 times, participated in Regional Choir in Chicago, and was in the NW Festival Band for 5 years. She is involved with Saints for Life, Vera Forma, Steel Drum Band, Jazz Choir, Jazz Band, and Assistant Chaplains. Her favorite memory is the final Cantus rehearsal of 2020 right before we would have performed at Allstate, and we were practicing "Walk Out on the Water." She says, Music is in a word, therapeutic. It can calm you down, hype you up, make you laugh, and make you cry. There is never a time when music doesn't apply and it has always been there. I'm so thankful for my time in CDCC because it has definitely impacted who I am today and has made me not only a better musician, but a better human being.
