The grant was awarded on Aug. 8, 2019. The EDA describes the grant as follows:
"This EDA investment supports the Bismarck State College in the expansion of additional lab and classroom space for innovative educational exploration that will address the hiring needs of the businesses within the community of Burleigh County, North Dakota. The project will help promote growth and economic development by increasing investment, employment, and economic diversity throughout a region that has been impacted by the decline in the coal industry."
