The City of Wahpeton is organizing a public input meeting on Tuesday, November 4, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Central Time to discuss planned upgrades for Fourth Avenue South and Fourth Street South. The event will take place at Wahpeton City Hall, located at 1900 Fourth Street North.
The session will follow an open house format, with a formal presentation scheduled for 5:15 p.m. Representatives from the City of Wahpeton and Interstate Engineering, Inc. are expected to attend and address questions or concerns from residents.
Proposed improvements involve extensive infrastructure work on both streets. Planned activities include replacing water mains, gate valves, water services, sanitary sewer mains and manholes, storm sewer mains and catch basins, as well as curb and gutter installation. The project also covers new pavement, aggregate base layers, concrete driveways and sidewalks, ADA ramps, tree removal and planting, updated signage and pavement markings, topsoil application, and seeding.

Residents who cannot attend in person may submit written comments by mail or email by November 20, 2025. Comments should reference “Public Input Meeting - PCN 24449” in the heading or subject line.
