NDDOT schedules public input session for US Highway 2 intersection project

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) will hold a public input meeting on Tuesday, October 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. Central Time to discuss proposed intersection improvements at U.S. Highway 2 and North 43rd Street in Grand Forks.

The meeting is scheduled at the Career Impact Academy, located at 1210 N 43rd St., Grand Forks. It will follow an open house format with a formal presentation beginning at 5:30 p.m. Representatives from NDDOT will be present to answer questions and address concerns from attendees.

According to the department, the project includes relocating turn lanes and tapers, modifying existing medians, constructing new medians, and updating striping layouts.

For those unable to attend in person, written comments are being accepted until October 22, 2025. Comments should reference “Public Input Meeting - PCN 24584” in the letter heading or email subject line and be sent to Jea Monje, Design Division, NDDOT, 608 East Boulevard Ave., Bismarck, ND 58505-0700 or monjealanajeannie@nd.gov.

“The NDDOT will consider every request for reasonable accommodation to provide an accessible meeting facility or other accommodation for people with disabilities. Language interpretation and translation services will be available upon request for this meeting,” according to the department.
