The Williams County Vector Control District (WCVCD) has announced plans to carry out ground adulticide treatments in several areas, including Grenora, Trenton, Williston Spray Block 7, and the Lake Jessie area south of Williston. The treatments are scheduled for Saturday, September 27 and/or Sunday, September 28 near sunset, depending on weather and other conditions.

According to WCVCD, DeltaGard will be used for these operations. The active ingredient in DeltaGard is Deltamethrin, which is approved for use in residential neighborhoods. Residents are advised to stay at least 300 feet away from Vector Control trucks during fogging activities.

The district also encourages residents to take additional precautions against mosquito bites when outdoors between dusk and dawn.
