The Greater North Dakota Chamber (GNDC) recognized key contributors to the state’s business landscape at its annual Policy Summit in Bismarck on September 23. Three awards were presented, each highlighting significant leadership and commitment to advancing North Dakota's economic interests.

Representative Ty Dressler received the Freshman of the Year Award. This honor is given to a legislator who demonstrates openness, collaboration, and dedication to policies that support businesses during their first legislative session. The GNDC cited Dressler’s willingness to learn and his efforts to ensure policy solutions benefit both business and government.

Senator Kristin Roers was honored with the Legislative Vision Award. The award, which had not been given since 1999, was reinstated this year in recognition of Roers’ work during the 69th Legislative Assembly. According to the GNDC, she played a crucial role in supporting free enterprise and advocating for pro-growth policies. Senator Roers also achieved a perfect score as a GNDC Chamber Champion for her stance on regulatory issues and economic development.

For the first time, the ND Legislator’s Choice Business Award was presented by the GNDC. Fix It Forward Auto Care received this award after being nominated by Representative TJ Brown. Led by Matt Carlson, Fix It Forward Auto Care was recognized for its growth, innovation, and positive impact on employees and the community.

“These honorees reflect the best of North Dakota’s business community and leadership. Whether it’s through public service at the Capitol or through innovation and impact in the private sector, their work strengthens our state,” said Arik Spencer, GNDC President & CEO. “We’re proud to partner with leaders like these who are committed to building a stronger North Dakota.”
