The Williams County Vector Control District (WCVCD) is scheduled to carry out ground adulticide treatments in the City of Ray and in Williston Spray Blocks 3 and 4 on Tuesday, September 23. The application will proceed depending on weather and other conditions.
According to the WCVCD, DeltaGard, which contains the active ingredient Deltamethrin, will be used for this operation. The product is approved for use in residential areas.
Residents are advised to keep at least 300 feet away from Vector Control trucks while fogging is underway. The district also encourages people to take preventive measures against mosquito bites when outdoors between dusk and dawn.
