The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) is organizing public input meetings on September 29 and 30 to gather feedback on proposed improvements to US Highway 52. The project area extends from Minot, about 2.3 miles west of Junction 79th Avenue Southeast, to Voltaire.

Meetings will take place at the Velva Public School Gym in Velva on September 29 and at the Sleep Inn and Suites in Minot on September 30. Both meetings are scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Central Time, featuring an open-house format with a formal presentation between 5:30 and 6 p.m.

The focus of the project is the potential expansion of US Highway 52 from two lanes to four lanes. Representatives from NDDOT and Ulteig will be present to answer questions and address concerns from attendees.

A pre-recorded presentation and additional materials will be available online at www.dot.nd.gov/public-input starting September 29. Those unable to attend may submit written comments by October 15, referencing “Public Input Meeting - PCN 24012.” Comments should be sent to Mike Huffington at 3350 38th Ave. S, Fargo, ND 58104 or mike.huffington@ulteig.com.

NDDOT stated: "The NDDOT will consider every request for reasonable accommodation to provide an accessible meeting facility or other accommodation for people with disabilities. Language interpretation and translation services will be available upon request for this meeting."
