Senator John Hoeven, who represents North Dakota in the U.S. Senate, posted a series of messages on his official social media account on September 17 and 18, 2025. The posts addressed topics including Constitution Day, support for veterans, and the anniversary of the U.S. Air Force.

On September 17, Hoeven marked Constitution Day by stating, "On #ConstitutionDay, we honor the Founding Fathers and patriots whose vision and sacrifice secured our freedom and built a nation grounded in liberty, justice, and the power of the people."

Later that day, he described a meeting with Scott Kaufman from North Dakota's Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), writing: "Great to meet with Scott Kaufman from North Dakota @VFWHQ to discuss ways to support our veterans and provide them with the recognition and benefits they have earned." The VFW is an organization dedicated to advocating for veterans' rights and providing community support.

On September 18, Hoeven recognized the anniversary of the U.S. Air Force: "Happy 78th Birthday @usairforce! Great to cut the cake with Secretary Meink and celebrate the incredible legacy, service, and sacrifice of our airmen." The United States Air Force was established as a separate branch of the military in 1947.

Senator Hoeven has served as North Dakota's senior senator since 2011. He has frequently highlighted issues related to national service days such as Constitution Day—which commemorates the signing of the U.S. Constitution—and has consistently advocated for military personnel and veterans throughout his tenure.
