North Dakota Tourism has announced a partnership with Tigirlily Gold, a country music duo originally from Hazen, North Dakota. The collaboration centers on the release of their new single, “Call It Home (A Song for North Dakota),” which aims to encourage travel and exploration throughout the state.

Krista Olson and Kendra Slaubaugh of Tigirlily Gold drew on personal experiences growing up in North Dakota when writing the song. Their memories include fishing trips, early performances, and the landscapes that define their home state.

“We’ve always dreamed of working with North Dakota Tourism,” said Tigirlily Gold’s Krista Olson and Kendra Slaubaugh. “This collaboration is truly full circle and we’re honored to share what makes our home state so special.”

The lyrics reference several notable locations across North Dakota. These include Theodore Roosevelt National Park, Sheyenne National Grassland, Killdeer Mountain Four Bears Scenic Byway, Jamestown, Bottineau, Hazen Bay Recreation Area, Paul Weiser Pocket Park in Hazen, Grahams Island State Park on Devils Lake, Pembina Gorge and River at Masonic Scenic Overlook, Coteau des Prairies Lodge, Lake Sakakawea, downtown Bismarck and Fargo, as well as the Enchanted Highway.

According to North Dakota Tourism officials, “Call It Home” reflects the values behind the state's “Be Legendary” brand by highlighting unique experiences available throughout North Dakota.
