The Williams County Vector Control District (WCVCD) is scheduled to carry out ground adulticide treatments in the communities of Grenora, Ray, and Trenton on Tuesday, September 16. The operation will proceed depending on weather and other conditions.

According to the WCVCD, DeltaGard, which contains the active ingredient Deltamethrin and is approved for use in residential areas, will be used during these treatments. Residents are advised to stay at least 300 feet away from Vector Control trucks while fogging operations are underway.

"Residents are reminded to maintain a distance of at least 300 feet from Vector Control trucks during fogging operations."

WCVCD also encourages residents to take steps to protect themselves from mosquito bites when outdoors between dusk and dawn.

For more information about the treatment or precautions, residents can visit the Williams County Vector Control District’s website.
