The Bismarck Fire Department will hold an open house on Thursday, October 9, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Fire Station Four, located at 4103 Miriam Drive. The event is part of Fire Prevention Week and is open to the public.
Attendees can observe an auto extrication demonstration where firefighters will show how they use specialized tools to remove victims from vehicles. There will also be a firefighter demonstration featuring high-angle rescues and search and rescue drills. Children can participate in a mini firefighter challenge course designed as a scaled-down obstacle course.
The department encourages families to attend for an evening focused on fire safety education and community engagement. The event provides an opportunity for residents to meet local firefighters, learn safety tips, and take part in activities.
"This free event is a great opportunity to meet your local firefighters, learn valuable safety tips, and enjoy a fun community night out," according to the Bismarck Fire Department.
For more information about the open house or other fire safety initiatives, residents are encouraged to contact the Bismarck Fire Department.
