Members of the Bismarck Fire Department joined colleagues from the Mandan Fire Department and other regional fire departments for the annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. The event is held to honor the 343 firefighters, as well as police officers and paramedics, who died while responding to the World Trade Center attacks on September 11, 2001.

Participants in the stair climb complete a distance equal to 110 stories, which matches the height of the Twin Towers. This act serves as a tribute to those who lost their lives during the attacks.

For members of the Bismarck Fire Department, taking part in this event provides an opportunity to reflect and remember. "For the Bismarck Fire Department, it’s a chance to reflect, remember, and stand alongside others in honoring the courage and selflessness shown on that day."
