The City of Bismarck will hold its annual Landfill Free Disposal Week from September 15 to 20, 2025. During this period, residents can dispose of household waste at the landfill at no cost. This includes household hazardous waste and electronics. Residents must present either their most recent City of Bismarck utility bill or a valid driver’s license with a Bismarck address for free access.

To accommodate increased activity during the week, the Household Hazardous Waste & Electronics Recycling Center will have extended hours, operating from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm between September 15 and 20.

There is still a fee required for tire disposal.

Normal landfill hours are Monday through Saturday from 6 am to 4 pm. The Household Hazardous Waste & Electronics Recycling Center typically operates from 8 am to 3 pm Monday through Thursday and from 9 am to 2 pm on the first and third Saturdays each month.
