East Century Avenue, between Centennial Drive and Roosevelt Drive, has reopened to traffic following construction efforts by Knife River Corporation. The company announced that vehicles are now able to use the newly built concrete roadway, with sidewalks and crosswalks also open for pedestrians. This section was completed before the start of the 2025–2026 school year as planned.

Work continues on the eastern part of the project. Underground utility installation is nearly finished, with about 95% completed. Grading is ongoing, and concrete paving has been finished from the 52nd Street intersection to about halfway toward Roosevelt Drive. Additional paving work is scheduled over the coming weeks, and asphalt paving on 52nd Street is set to begin soon.

The project remains within its expected timeline. Knife River Corporation expressed appreciation for community support during construction disruptions. Andrew Osborn, Public Relations Coordinator for Knife River Corporation, stated: "We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation throughout this process. We recognize that roadwork can be disruptive and inconvenient, and we’re grateful for your support. Our team is committed to delivering lasting transportation and infrastructure improvements that benefit the entire community."
