The North Dakota Department of Commerce has launched the Global Talent Office Grant Program, aiming to help employers and communities in the state recruit, retain, and integrate New Americans and legal immigrants into the workforce. The program is designed to provide financial support to eligible businesses and community-based organizations that are working on efforts related to workforce development and community integration.
According to the department, applications for the grant are being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until June 30, 2027. The initiative is structured around four tracks that focus on strategies to improve economic and community inclusion for New Americans and legal immigrants living in North Dakota.
“This program is about building stronger, more inclusive communities and workplaces,” said Commerce Deputy Commissioner and Workforce Director Katie Ralston Howe. “By investing in strategies that support legal immigrant integration, we’re helping North Dakota employers meet workforce needs while creating a sense of belonging for New Americans.”
All application materials must be submitted online. The Workforce Development Division will review submissions within three weeks, with notifications sent out within four weeks of submission. Successful applicants will be required to complete a grant agreement, after which funds will be disbursed based on milestone completion. Regular progress reports detailing milestones achieved, expenditures made, and outcomes realized will be required from recipients.
