The deadline for the 6th Annual Mandan Business Pitch Challenge has been extended to 4 p.m. on Friday, August 29. Details about the competition, including the prize list and application process, can be found at cityofmandan.com/businesspitch.

The event is set for October 15, 2025. Participants will compete for prizes such as eligibility for a forgivable loan of up to $10,000 from the Mandan Growth Fund, along with other cash awards, services, and merchandise aimed at supporting new businesses.

This year introduces new cash prizes: second place will receive $3,000 and third place will get $2,000 from the Mandan Growth Fund.

The Bismarck Mandan Chamber EDC and City of Mandan Business Development & Communications Department are organizing and hosting the challenge. Their goal is to help prospective and start-up businesses refine their ideas and plans so they can secure investment, financing, and other support needed to move from concept to launch or from early stage to profitability. The North Dakota Small Business Development Center is also involved in supporting the challenge.

Organizers state that they hope "to help inspire and support a culture of entrepreneurism."
