The City of Fargo is organizing a public input meeting to gather feedback on proposed interchange options at 64th Avenue South and Interstate 29. The event will take place on Thursday, August 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Fargo Parks District Sports Center, in the Alex Stern Family Foundation Room 112 at 6100 38th Street South.

The format for the meeting will be an open house with a formal presentation scheduled for 5:30 p.m. The project under discussion involves adding ramps to the existing overpass at 64th Avenue to connect it directly to I-29. Several alternatives are being evaluated as part of an environmental review process.

Representatives from the City of Fargo, the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT), and engineering firm Bolton & Menk, Inc. will be present to answer questions and address concerns from attendees.

A pre-recorded presentation along with other materials related to the project will also be available online at https://fargo-nd.civilspace.io/en/projects/interstate-29-64th-avenue-south-interchange.

For those unable to attend in person, written comments about the project can be submitted by mail or email until September 12, 2025. Comments should be addressed to Blue Weber at Bolton & Menk, either by mail (3168 41st St. S. #2, Fargo, North Dakota 58104) or email (blue.weber@bolton-menk.com), including “Public Input Meeting - PCN 24477 - 64th Avenue Interchange” in the subject line or letter heading.

The city states: "The City of Fargo will consider every request for reasonable accommodation to provide an accessible meeting facility or other accommodation for people with disabilities. Language interpretation and translation services will be available upon request for this meeting."
