Centennial Road/Bismarck Expressway will be closed overnight between the north Interstate 94 ramps and Trenton Drive. The closure is set for Tuesday, August 19, from 12:30 a.m. to 5 a.m., and will last up to 30 minutes while crews install a new overhead sign structure.
Flaggers will be present to manage traffic during this time, but no detour will be provided. Motorists and pedestrians are encouraged to use alternative routes between 12:30 a.m. and 5 a.m.
Drivers are reminded to slow down in the work zone and remain alert for workers and equipment.
The I-94 Exit 161 Interchange project started in spring 2024 and is expected to continue through summer 2026. The project aims to improve traffic flow by removing two left-turn movements and adding right-turn loops.
"NDDOT appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as this essential infrastructure project moves forward."
