Six companies in North Dakota have received a total of $2.16 million in loans from the North Dakota Development Fund, Inc. (NDDF) during the second quarter of 2025, according to an announcement by the North Dakota Department of Commerce.
"These investments reflect our commitment to economic growth and meeting community needs across North Dakota," said Commerce Economic Development & Finance Deputy Director and Head of Investments and Innovation Shayden Akason. "We’re proud to support businesses that are expanding access to child care – an essential service that enables parents to remain in the workforce and strengthens the state’s economic resilience."
The approved loans include $805,000 for Discovery Properties LLC in Mandan to purchase and renovate a building for a new child care facility; $100,000 for Reser LLC dba The Learning Tree in Minot to expand and remodel its existing facility; $100,000 for Transcend Childcare Center in Fargo to acquire an existing child care facility; working capital support for OmniByte Technology Inc. in Fargo; $450,000 for Peace Academy Inc. in Fargo to remodel a building and expand child care operations; and $455,000 for Dakota Valley Growers in Bathgate to construct a compost facility for its feedlot.
The NDDF supports projects throughout North Dakota, including value-added agriculture, child care, and technology initiatives. The fund aims to connect regions and industries across the state.
Established in 1991, the NDDF offers flexible financing options for new or expanding businesses. It also manages the Child Care Loan Program, which is designed to help providers address workforce needs related to child care.
