The North Dakota Mill has announced a profit of over $26.6 million for fiscal year 2025, marking a 28% increase from last year's record profit of more than $20.7 million.
North Dakota Industrial Commission members released a joint statement recognizing the achievement: “The dedicated team at the North Dakota Mill delivered another exceptional year with record shipment volume of 18.7 million hundredweight, a record 40.3 million bushels of grain purchased, and gross sales of $476 million. We are grateful for their support of the mill’s mission and for their hard work to deliver a profit to its owners – the citizens of North Dakota.”
Mill President and CEO Vance Taylor credited local farmers and employees for the results: “It all starts with North Dakota farmers again delivering superior quality spring wheat and durum to the mill. Profits were driven by an increase in shipment volumes of 7%. Our dedicated employees remain focused on providing consistent quality products delivered with the highest level of customer service.”
For fiscal year 2025, the mill transferred about $12.7 million—52.5% of its profits—to North Dakota’s general fund, while over $1.3 million went to the agricultural product utilization fund. Remaining profits are retained for ongoing operations.
The North Dakota Mill and Elevator Association was founded in 1922 and operates under the oversight of the Industrial Commission, which includes Governor Kelly Armstrong, Attorney General Drew Wrigley, and Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring.
