A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of US Highway 2 and North Dakota State Highway 41 resulted in serious injuries on July 25, 2025. The incident occurred around midnight under good road and weather conditions.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a Hyundai Santa Fe traveling northbound on ND Highway 41 failed to stop at a posted stop sign, entering the intersection in front of an eastbound Chevrolet Equinox on US Highway 2. This led to a T-bone collision.
The driver of the Hyundai Santa Fe, a 20-year-old female from Minot, suffered serious injuries and was not wearing a seatbelt. She faces charges of criminal vehicular injury, classified as a C felony. Her passenger, a 20-year-old male from Minot who was wearing a seatbelt, also sustained serious injuries.
The Chevrolet Equinox's driver, a 19-year-old male from Belcourt, received minor injuries and was treated at the scene. His passenger, a 17-year-old male juvenile from Belcourt whose name is withheld, sustained serious injuries. Both were wearing seatbelts.
All seriously injured individuals were transported to Trinity Health in Minot for treatment. The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
