Effective July 15, 2025, all gravel and chip seal roads in Williams County and Township are subject to new weight restrictions due to recent rainfall. The restrictions vary by zone and time of implementation.

Starting at 11:45 a.m. CST, zones 2, 3, 5, and 6 are restricted to a gross vehicle weight (GVW) limit of 20,000 pounds. Permits previously approved for weights exceeding this limit are now void. This measure will remain until further notice as road conditions are assessed throughout the day.

Earlier in the day, at 10:30 a.m., zones 2, 3, and 6 were placed under the same GVW restriction. Similarly, at 10:00 a.m., zone 5 was also subjected to this restriction.

At 7:00 a.m., zones 4, 5, and 6 were restricted to a six-ton axle weight limit. Permits for weights above this limit in these zones have been revoked.

These measures aim to protect the infrastructure from damage due to wet conditions. Authorities will continue monitoring road conditions.
