The Larks faced an early setback against the Minot Hot Tots on Saturday evening. Blake Cavill hit a two-run home run off Larks' starting pitcher Lake Hagen, putting the Hot Tots ahead 3-0 in the first inning.
Grant Ross stepped up for the Larks with a three-run home run down the right field line. Ricardo Aponte contributed with an RBI double in the second inning, and Ross added two more RBIs with a base hit to center field, totaling five RBIs for him in the game. "It felt really good," said Ross. "I've had some ups and downs early on this season. I've had a lot of hard-hit outs. It felt good to finally get some hits and help the team score some runs."
