The VA Fargo Health Care System, in collaboration with the Carl E. Rogen American Legion Post 139, is set to open a new Accessing Telehealth through Local Area Stations (ATLAS) site in Watford City, North Dakota. The opening event will take place on July 14, 2025, at the American Legion located at 313 12th St SW.
This ATLAS site is part of the VA Anywhere to Anywhere telehealth initiative. It aims to improve access to healthcare for veterans in Watford City and nearby areas by reducing obstacles such as long travel times, adverse weather conditions, and poor internet connectivity.
Veterans who are enrolled will have access to a private space equipped with internet and advanced technology for connecting with their VA providers via VA Video Connect. An on-site attendant will assist with check-in and technical issues but will not be present during appointments to maintain privacy.
The opening represents progress for those receiving care through the VA Fargo Health Care System. Veterans and their families are encouraged to attend the event from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Attendees can meet American Legion staff, explore equipment, and engage with telehealth experts.
