Senator John Hoeven released a statement today in recognition of Independence Day. The senator emphasized the importance of remembering the efforts and sacrifices made to establish the United States.
"As we commemorate nearly 250 years of independence, it is vital that we take time to remember the hard work and sacrifices that have been required to build this great nation," Hoeven stated. He extended gratitude to servicemembers who have defended freedom over generations. "The prosperity and liberty we enjoy is only possible due to the security that they have upheld."
Hoeven concluded by expressing well wishes for a happy and safe Fourth of July to all residents of North Dakota, mentioning his wife Mikey in his remarks.
