Dirt bike collides with car in Williston; one seriously injured

A collision involving a dirt bike and a vehicle occurred in Williston, North Dakota, on July 5, 2025. The incident took place at the intersection of 29th Street West and 29th Court West around 12:38 a.m. CST.

The crash involved a 2025 Kawasaki dirt bike and a 2007 Dodge Charger. The dirt bike was heading westbound while the Dodge Charger was moving southbound toward an apartment complex parking lot when they collided in the intersection. As a result of the impact, the dirt bike rider was ejected and subsequently hit a parked Ford F-150.

The driver of the dirt bike, a 15-year-old male from Williston, sustained serious injuries. It was noted that he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Meanwhile, the driver of the Dodge Charger, a 33-year-old female from Williston, was unharmed and had been wearing her seat belt. A passenger in the Dodge Charger, a 30-year-old male also from Williston, did not suffer any injuries and was similarly restrained by a seat belt.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol is leading an investigation into the crash with assistance from local agencies including the Williston Police Department, Williston Fire Department, Williston Ambulance Service, and Williams County Sheriff’s Office.

Charges related to this incident are still under investigation.
