An accident occurred on Interstate 29, about three miles north of Grandin, on Thursday, July 3, 2025. The incident involved a rollover crash at approximately 3:30 PM CDT. According to reports, the road and weather conditions were good at the time.
The vehicle involved was a 2017 Ford Transit. The driver, a 34-year-old male from Arvilla, ND, was not injured and was wearing a seat belt. There are no charges against him. A female passenger aged 35 from Arvilla sustained injuries despite wearing a seat belt.
The vehicle also carried several juvenile passengers aged between nine months and sixteen years old. They suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were all restrained at the time of the crash.
The accident happened when the left rear tire of the Ford Transit blew out while it was traveling southbound in the right lane. This caused the vehicle to veer into the west ditch where it rolled over before coming to rest facing northwest.
Emergency services responded promptly to the scene. Injured occupants were transported by ambulance to nearby medical facilities for treatment. Agencies involved in managing the incident included the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Traill County Sheriff’s Office, Grandin Fire & Responders, Hillsboro Sanford Ambulance Service, West Traill Ambulance Service, and Agassiz Valley Human Services.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation into this crash.
