Pedestrian injured in crash at 4 Bears Casino parking lot

A pedestrian was seriously injured in a crash at the 4 Bears Casino and Lodge parking lot in New Town on Saturday, June 28, 2025. The incident occurred at 10:50 PM CST under dry weather conditions with the area lit by building and pole lights.

The vehicle involved was a 2006 Ford Five Hundred SEL driven by Darrell Osborne, aged 60, from New Town. According to reports, Osborne was reversing the car when it struck an 84-year-old pedestrian named June Lizotte. The impact knocked Lizotte to the ground, resulting in serious injuries. She was transported to Trinity Hospital in Minot by New Town Ambulance.

Osborne has been charged with Criminal Vehicular Injury, a Class C Felony. His passenger, Janice Davis, aged 62 and also from New Town, was not injured. The North Dakota Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation into the crash.

Several agencies responded to the scene including the McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office, Three Affiliated Tribes Police, and security personnel from the casino.
