The City of Mandan is preparing for its annual Independence Day celebrations, which will include Art in the Park, Mandan Rodeo Days, and the Mandan Independence Day Parade. Residents and visitors are advised to take note of street closures, traffic detours, and parking restrictions that will be in place during these events.

Art in the Park is scheduled for July 3-4 at Dykshoorn and Heritage Parks. During this event, Collins Ave and Sixth Ave NW will serve as detour routes to First Street NW to accommodate traffic.

In light of ongoing phases of the North Dakota Department of Transportation Memorial Highway Reconstruction Project, changes have been made to the 2025 parade staging and viewing areas. Main Street and Memorial Highway will experience street closures, while I-94 will have detours in effect.

Parking restrictions will also be enforced. To facilitate access to downtown areas during these events, a shuttle service will be available.

Authorities remind drivers to reduce speed, remain vigilant for pedestrians, and adhere to all posted signage and detours throughout the holiday festivities. "We appreciate your cooperation in making Mandan’s Independence Day celebrations safe and enjoyable for everyone."
