Truck-mounted mosquito spraying set for rural Cass cities on July 1

Cass County Vector Control has announced plans for truck-mounted spraying to address elevated mosquito nuisance levels. The spraying is scheduled for Tuesday, July 1st, 2025, at 8:30 PM in rural Cass cities and major subdivisions, weather permitting.

The active ingredients used in the Ultra Low Volume (ULV) spray are permethrin or etofenprox. According to the agency, these insecticides are labeled for use in residential areas and have been found to be non-toxic to humans and pets.
