The City of Mandan has announced that the use of fireworks will be restricted to July 3 and 4, from noon until 11:59 p.m. Residents are reminded to clean up and dispose of all remnants properly after use. Fireworks should be placed in regular garbage as they are not recyclable. It is advised to ensure used fireworks are completely extinguished and no longer warm before disposal. Unused fireworks should have their fuses removed and be soaked in water overnight before being discarded.

Authorities urge caution for safety during the celebrations. Violations of these regulations will incur a fee of $150.

Historically, dry conditions have resulted in bans on fireworks usage. The city will continue to monitor conditions as the holiday approaches, with updates available at cityofmandan.com/news.
