Fatal rollover crash claims life of Minot man on US Highway 2

A fatal crash occurred early Saturday morning on US Highway 2 in Ward County. At approximately 2:22 AM, a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado traveling east near mile marker 148 failed to negotiate a curve, entered the ditch, and overturned. The driver, a 51-year-old male from Minot, suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.

The road conditions were reported as good, with clear weather at the time of the accident. The North Dakota Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into the crash. No charges have been filed, and it is currently unknown if restraints were used by the driver.

Agencies involved in responding to the incident include the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Minot Police Department, Minot Fire Department, and Trinity Health Community Ambulance Service.
