The Williams County Vector Control District (WCVCD) is set to conduct ground adulticide treatments in Trenton on Thursday, June 19. The treatment is scheduled to take place near sunset, weather permitting. Residents are advised to maintain a distance of at least 300 feet behind the Vector Control trucks during fogging operations.

DeltaGard, containing the active ingredient deltamethrin, will be used for the treatment. This product has been approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for use in residential areas.

Residents are encouraged to take precautions against mosquito bites, especially during dusk to dawn hours in the summer months. Recommended measures include wearing long sleeve tight-knit shirts and long pants, limiting outdoor activities during these times, and using mosquito repellents such as DEET, Picardin, or oil of lemon eucalyptus. Additionally, eliminating standing water on properties can help prevent mosquito re-population.

For further information and a list of all notices, residents are encouraged to visit the appropriate resources.
