Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library is set to host a two-part book chat in collaboration with the North Dakota Asian-American Arts and Cultural Initiative (NDAAACI) through their Kaleidoscope Project. The event, aimed at adult literary enthusiasts, will feature "Trick Mirror: Reflections on Self-Delusion" by Jia Tolentino as the second book for discussion in June.
Heather May, Community Integration Facilitator at the City of Bismarck, will lead these discussions. NDAAACI aims to celebrate heritage, share stories, and foster connections through various programs and events designed to inspire and educate.
The Kaleidoscope Project focuses on themes of immigration, identity, and resilience. It seeks to amplify underrepresented voices and encourage dialogue that fosters empathy and understanding.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 28 at 3:00 pm at the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library's Missouri River Room. It is free and open to all ages. Media representatives are also invited to attend.
