Fatal UTV crash in Williams County under investigation by authorities

A fatal crash occurred in Williams County involving a Utility Task Vehicle (UTV) on June 15, 2025. The incident took place at 12:03 AM on 147th Drive NW. The vehicle involved was a 2021 Polaris RZR, which was traveling northbound when the driver lost control, causing the UTV to leave the roadway and roll over.

The driver, a 50-year-old male from Williston, suffered fatal injuries. A passenger, a 55-year-old female from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, sustained minor injuries. Neither individual was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Agencies responding to the scene included the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP), Williams County Sheriff’s Office, Williams County EMS, and Trenton EMS. No charges have been filed in connection with this incident.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding this crash.
